Another Day

Another day, it's all the same
Surrendering my only wish to find a way
And if I feel the ocean underneath my feet
It isn't really water flowing underneath

A safer way to keep my head
As the minutes on the clock just tick away
I don't have much time left to make a bigger choice
To say what's on my mind while I still have a voice

You were what I dreamed for, you were what I schemed for
I always believed you were the only one for me
But I didn't have the courage then to go against them
This life has been wasted, wasted on dreams

What I would give to somehow live
To take back those times I never could forgive
If I could go back there and live it all again
Would I give up the love I knew would abandon me

To forget is not a thought
I live each day with emotions tied in knots
Our worlds collided with a force I can't forget
I'd take another chance if you would only let me

You were what I dreamed for, you were what I schemed for
I always believed you were the only one for me
But I didn't have the courage then to go against them
This life has been wasted, wasted on dreams
